Ringway 2024
Mr. Captain giving Derek Mee is certificate of life membership
What a fantastic day we had at Ringway! There are many reasons why it was memorable, but what truly stood out was having Derek Mee and his lovely wife Joan join us for the presentation dinner.
Derek Mee, 91 years young, presents our new trophy to CK
We invited Derek down specially to award him a Life Membership, and he then presented the new Derek Mee Trophy to Clive Kirkham. Derek, a marvelous storyteller, proved that you never lose your touch. His reminiscences from his 63 years of MAGS golfing days since its inauguration in 1961 were delightful. Thank you, Derek, for being a dear friend and embodying the best of MAGS. Let's hope we can all do this again soon.
Now, some upcoming events:
Bramhall Park is set for Sunday, September 1. We'll start mid-morning followed by a barbecue. Everyone is welcome, so bring the family. The cost is £50, with a separate price for the barbecue to be announced. Let's make this a great event.
Davenport is rescheduled to Thursday, September 26, our usual MAGS day.

Dave Bolton, winner of the Arthur Wood Trophy
Congratulations to David Bolton, the winner of the Arthur Wood Trophy, reports are that he’s playing some of the most solid golf of his life right now… all elements of his game are firing!
It was a close contest with three golfers scoring 38 points. David Lawson took second place, and Ashley Connor secured third.
A big thank you to Mr. Captain for a great day and a wonderful speech. Steve, you are doing an excellent job. It's also nice to welcome our visitors, like Mike Carruthers, a guest of Mark Hod. Who immediately joined. Welcome to MAGS, Mike!
