What a way to launch the 2025 season!

Thirty-five of us soaked up glorious sunshine at Leigh Golf Club, and the course was immaculate.

  • Winner: Marc Atkinson – a sparkling 39 points

  • Runner-up: Dave “Beadie” Beech (37 pts, countback)

  • Third: Dermot – also 37 pts

A hat-tip to our new Captain for a smooth debut (although his gag repertoire may need a quick re-fit before the next tee-time).

The high chief, the grand master, the daddy of MAGS, Ken Buckley is a golfing powerhouse with a big heart. Be warned though, cross him at your own risk, he’s got a mobile phone and he’s prepared to pester you until he gets what he wants.
